Meet the recommended writers of July 2024

Hello, I’m Lena. I am a fairly new author from Serbia. My love for storytelling began when I was a child, and I attribute that love to my father, who used to tell me fairy tales and recount books as bedtime stories, such as Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. So I grew up loving fantasy, and even wrote three stories when I was eight years old, because I wanted more of the stories I enjoyed, and if there weren’t any similar ones, I wanted to create them. And as a romantic at heart, love stories were always a must in the books I read. The story I’m currently working on, called Wolf’s Lullaby, is a romantic comedy with fantasy elements. Shifters were always one of my favorite mythical beings, so I wanted to create a unique story in a well-established genre. Hopefully, I managed just that.

My name is Bryony, and I am a local bestselling author to The Girl from Pompey books. 
I publish memoir style books that shine a light on healing trauma, addiction recovery, and mental health. My spiritual development is also embedded into all my books and shares my journey of my own development. 
I am also a holistic therapist who has studied mediumship for many years. 
My books are currently being used as resources within mental health in the U.K. and USA.

Tawni is a Christian woman with a heart for Jesus. She is a wife and mother who uses her free time to craft novels that keep you at the edge of your seat and tug at your heartstrings. She strives to write lovable heroines paired with swoon-worthy heros. She writes Christian Romance, that’s either heart pounding suspense, nail biting thrillers, or heart-melting romance, it all depends on her mood. When she’s not writing, you can find her chasing her littles with her husband, organizing chaos, or with her nose buried in the next great book.

Kathryn Holeton is a Brand Designer for Creatives, multi-published poet, author, songwriter and lyricist. She has worked with clients across multiple creative industries. She has recently launched a blog dedicated to highlighting rising creatives on their creative and branding journey. In addition to what Kathryn already does, she is also a nature and urban photographer, traditional artist, jewelry maker and a notebook and pen collector. She lives in Knoxville, TN with her family.

J. Alleyn Winchester is the author of Artemis of the Dodekatheon and Nature Calls, Spring. Listening to his father play on his guitar before reading bedtime stories from the Children’s Book of Virtues, Aesop’s Fables, or The Chronicles of Narnia was a beloved bedtime ritual. He fell in love with how myth and lore shaped generations of cultures and studied storytelling from literary, theatrical, and spiritual perspectives from a young age. They inspired him to write his own tales, starting with one page shorts that would grow into a few chapters. In middle school, he found that stories helped him navigate the complexities of growing up with depression, anxiety, and alternative world views. When he was sixteen, he began developing three, far-reaching series that would later be called The Triad Sagas, two of which were Dodekatheon and Nature Calls. He married his high school sweetheart and muse who shares his love of storytelling with their feline familiar, Archibald. Together, they hope the Imaginings Universe plants new seeds of inspiration in the hearts and minds of generations now and to come.

The New Leaf Writing Community. The group was founded by Gabriella White, Antonio Ma-at, and Maja Kopunovic on May 29, 2022. The overall goal for the community and its founders is provide novice authors and students interested in becoming authors with a solid foundation and the tools they will need before beginning their solo journey as an author. 

Authors all over the world can join to participate in  writing competitions, lectures that help improve their skills, and anthologies, as well as other perks while meeting new people simultaneously.

Born in Turkey and lives in the UK. She worked in advertising, publishing and journalism. She has a Graduate Degree in English Literature and a Masters Degree in Translation. She's launched and edited Holiday Magazine, a monthly publication aimed at English speaking residents and holiday makers in Southwest Turkey. She's produced and presented TV programs in English for Channell 48, a local TV channel based in Marmaris, Turkey. She's translated scripts for Disney Channel Turkey and various books from Turkish into English and from English into Turkish. She' s been writing articles on travel, health, education and general interest and editing Oxford University Press publications since 1996.

Pat is from the Midlands in the UK. As a child she loved books and story writing, dreaming of being an author. Pat started to follow her dream in 2014, writing quotes and affirmations, later starting a Facebook page “The wanderings of my mind” being very shy, she wanted to hide behind a name. Just over 2 year ago Pat joined instagram, she mostly writes spiritual and nature poetry and fairies and other subjects when inspired. Poetry is an escape and a way of expressing her thoughts and feelings. She has been published twice in Prosetrics e-magazine and once in Pulse of poetry e-magazine. Pat hopes to one day publish a book.

Maja K. is a graphic designer, who specializes in book cover design. She makes premade and custom made covers for all kinds for genres of books. She is also involved with the books and writing communities. You can see her work at her Instagram page.
