The founder and runner of the page is Manchester based writer, Caryce Leigh Brierley. Since the age of fourteen, Caryce has been writing under the name C.L.Brierley in genres like fantasy, romance, horror and more.

 

Now on Inkitt, she is a successful writer who has won awards and is working hard to achieve her writing goals for the future. In the last few years, she began getting more involved with the writing community after connecting with lots of new people on the previously mentioned platform. She also began to notice how many writers struggled with promotion and the large rate of spamming many writers thought was promotion.

 

This was also seen on other platforms such as Instagram, where she has experiencing promotion for a few companies she previously worked for, along with a startling amount of fake Instagram profiles claiming to help with promotion that either did not work because of having fake followings, likes and engagement themselves and/or because their promotion was poorly done.

 

When she saw cases of some of her own friends getting taken advantage of by these scammers on Instagram, she decided if these pages would not be stopped and new ones would keep appearing, she would do something about it herself.

 

Thus, The Writer's Community Promotion Page was created. Starting with only six wonderful writers, three of which were good friends of hers, she has grown a community of supportive readers and talented writers and from all over the world that number in the thousands.  Many people have helped the page along the way, and it continues to grow every day.
